About Veterinary Physiotherapy
Veterinary physiotherapy is the holistic use of manual therapies, electrotherapies and remedial exercise to improve your animal’s musculoskeletal, neurological and mental health. A thorough static, dynamic, joint range of motion and palpation assessment will be performed to identify problem areas and resolve them with physiotherapeutic techniques.
Every animal can benefit from a physiotherapy session, whether your horse is a competition athlete or your dog has a diagnosed clinical condition.
Meet the Therapist
Hannah Thorpe IMSc, Level 3 Cert. (Canine Hydro), MRAMP, MIRVAP(VP)(ICH)
After graduating from Writtle University College in 2022, Hannah set up Delta Veterinary Physiotherapy to provide physiotherapy to animals using a patient-led, fear-free approach.
Hannah has spent all of her life around animals and has been horse riding since before she can remember. She became interested in anatomy and biomechanics during her time studying Equine Management.
In 2013, she was given an amazing opportunity to share a New Forest X pony called Delta. For 6 years the pair spent their days enjoying the countryside. Delta inspired Hannah to study veterinary physiotherapy to help treat her osteoarthritis, tendon injury and a traumatic facial injury resulting in facial paralysis.
Hannah is a proud member of the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP), and the Institue of Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists (IRVAP) as both a vet physio and canine hydrotherapist. Being a member of these associations assures that treatments are safe, effective and evidence-based.
